GenXsis Step Team and Mentoring Program
Mediums:
GenXsis Step Team and Mentoring Program is an award winning 501(c)(3) nonprofit youth organization serving young people ages 14 to 20 throughout the South Suburbs of Chicago.
Through stepping, mentorship, leadership development, and community engagement, GenXsis empowers youth to lead with confidence, serve with purpose, and create meaningful change in their communities. Rooted in the rich tradition of stepping, (a percussive art form with origins in African traditions and historically Black Greek letter organizations), GenXsis uses step as a powerful tool to promote unity, self expression, and cultural pride.
From local communities to national stages, GenXsis has captivated audiences across the country through performances and competitions in St. Louis, Louisiana, Las Vegas, Indiana, Texas, and New York, winning trophies and earning recognition for their dynamic performances and commitment to youth empowerment.
Dedicated to making a difference beyond the stage, members actively engage in community service and outreach initiatives that empower others, address community needs, and inspire meaningful change. Through partnerships with Advocate Children's Hospital and the Make-A-Wish Foundation, members have supported children and families through acts of service, volunteerism, and community engagement.
More than a step team, GenXsis is a movement dedicated to inspiring the next generation of leaders, changemakers, and community advocates.
